The trainer will administer the Canine Good Citizen (or other AKC) test and provide documentation of passing or not passing. It is up to the owner to send the documentation to the American Kennel Club. AKC charges their own processing fee that is not included in the price of the test.

6 Sessions in our Family Dog Level 1 class. 

6 sessions in our Family Dog Level 2 class. 

Drop your puppy off for one hour of socialization with other puppies their own age. Up to 6 puppies will be present, and constantly monitored by a certified trainer to ensure no problem-behaviors are allowed. Puppies will be encouraged to play with one another while feeling safe and confident and learning how to respond appropriately to each other's cues.
Sunday School is available to puppies under 8 months only.

4 Preschool sessions

Casual 1 hour private session with the owner at Notre Dog Academy to see if Day School is a good option for your dog.

One hour of private training in your home or at an agreed-upon location within the city of Tacoma.

Your trainer will send you a personalized summary of the training plan you create together.

Travel within 10 minutes of Notre Dog Academy is included; locations beyond that will require an added travel fee.

Class will meet at different locations around the community each session. Students will work in and out of their cars, gradually moving further away from the vehicle as their dog progresses, always using the car as a home base.

Your teacher will rotate through each dog+human team, giving personalized instruction and real-time feedback. Each team will get 3–4 turns with breaks in between. Dogs will also have opportunities to be out of their cars at the same time when appropriate (once both dogs and humans are ready).

Who is this class for?

The word "reactive" can be loaded for some folks. I'm using it as an umbrella term to describe any dog that gets distracted or overly excited to the point of being unable to listen to their human. This class is just as beneficial for a dog with a bite history as it is for a 6-month-old puppy who loves making friends.

30 Minutes in a public location with a Trainer and their dog to practice appropriate behavior and safe socialization. 

4 in-home lessons with a certified trainer.

This package is great for people who would like more time practicing with your trainer present or have multiple behavior issues. 
You do not need to use all of the appointments in the same place! Is your dog especially reactive in a certain place or around specific stimuli such as dog parks or geese by a lake? Are you planning on traveling with your dog and need to get them used to train stations, airports, parking lots, etc? We can meet you there! This package can be purchased for dogs of any age.

Canine Behavior Consultation with a personalized Behavior Modification Plan

4 follow up sessions with your Certified Canine Behavior Consultant

8am to 5pm Monday through Friday Up to 5 dogs per day engage in group training, daily enrichment, low structure play sessions, and at least 40 minutes of private instruction from a certified trainer.

This 2 hour workshop will teach you the basics of how to train your dog!
You will learn: How to create a language that you and your dog can understand How to set up your home and your schedule for successful training Why we use the methods we teach (science!) Three methods of training How to begin training: come, sit, how to greet a human, walking on a leash, and more! You will also learn many bonus tips and psychological principles as topics arise. Each student will have one-on-one feedback and practice with the instructor and there will be time for questions.

1 hour session with an apprentice trainer to give you feedback on skills you learned with a certified trainer.

Includes a personalized Behavior Modification Plan suitable for submission to your veterinarian and one month of email follow-up.

Four Sunday School appointments to be booked before your dog is 8 months old. 

4 in-home lessons to help you get through that very difficult time in your dog's life. Behaviors that most often require multiple appointments include reactivity, aggression, shyness, and behaviors that have been rewarded (sometimes inadvertently) for a long time.  This package is also great for people who would like more time practicing with your trainer present. This can help you build confidence in your training techniques.
